Fermentation is a Marti family tradition. . .  Georg Marti owner/wine maker continues a long tradition of family fermenting adventures.  Over 150 years ago his great-great grandfather August Schell established the August Schell Brewing Company in New Ulm Minnesota, today's second oldest family owned brewery in the U.S.  Georg spent most of his early career working for his father, then president of the brewery.  Following the family’s fermentation legacy, In 1999 Georg and his oldest son Adam pursued wine making studies at Purdue University Heartland Wine School where the focus was on Midwest varietals and northern climate wine making techniques.

Classical, Jazz, Opera ala Carte, and Tango . . .

Classical, jazz, street opera, and tango! We can’t deny that nearly everything we do has some element of musical enjoyment.  As classical musicians and former music teachers-turned-winery-owners, we have created a unique oasis of pure sound...the creek, the prairie wind, the crackle of the burning bowl all sway to the music of our favorite composers. We are delighted to host some the best professional Southern Minnesota musicians-in-residence under the winery portico!  Winedown for the Weekend, Jazz Nite, and More McGuire and Opera ala Carte! are our signature music venues.  And  for “Sunday Brunch at the Winery” enjoy the eclectic spirit of “String Theory” a vibrant trio of acoustic originals.

Festivals, intimate gatherings, celebrations . . .

Every season expresses its nature in the elements that surround us in our daily work. Sun, rain, snow, mist remind us that we are part of a larger cycle that enfolds us into an annual journey around the sun. Each year we mark the journey with wonderful gatherings. Maifest, Bacchus Fest, German Winefest, Cambria Crush: the Annual Great Grape Stomp, and at last our Christmas Candlelight Winetasting. Bridal showers, groom’s dinners, corporate gatherings, private tastings are always welcomed for those who would like to retreat to the farm and enjoy the seasons with us.  Join us this season!
